Illinois State Rules Regarding Dual Rostering

The Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI) allows female hockey players to "double roster". Female players may be rostered on one Girls (19U, 16U, 14U, 12U, 10U, 8U) team and one "Youth" team, unlike boys who are limited to one team. In this case, the "Youth" team could be a TIER II travel team or a House League team. Dual rostering is meant to provide supplemental development opportunities and to assist in developing female teams.

Blackhawk Cup State Playoffs and Tournament
Dual rostered 8U or 10U girls may play in the state playoffs for BOTH teams.

Girls playing on a 12U, 14U, 16U or 19U team and a TIER II travel team may only play in ONE state playoff tournament. These girls must declare, in writing to the AHAI registrar, by December 31st, of their intent to play in the Girls Division of the Blackhawk Cup.

It is the policy of the Falcons Girls Program to require all rostered players on the Girls 12U and older teams to MAKE THE GIRLS TEAM their first priority for the Blackhawk Cup tournament.
